Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of PDFAccessibility.ai, including our website, PDF accessibility checker, remediation workspace, manual editor, converter tools, Smart PDF RAG / Developer API, support tools, and related services.

By using PDFAccessibility.ai, creating an account, uploading a file, using an API key, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

PDFAccessibility.ai helps users check PDFs for accessibility issues, remediate PDFs, manually review tags and accessible text, export corrected files, convert documents, and parse PDFs into structured JSON, Markdown, reading order, tables, headings, and bounding boxes for RAG and developer workflows.

We may improve, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. Some features may be in beta, experimental, or subject to plan limits.

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account, workspace, team seats, and API keys.

You must keep credentials and API keys confidential. If you believe your account or API key has been compromised, contact [email protected] promptly and rotate affected keys where possible.

You retain ownership of PDFs, files, text, data, and other content you upload or submit to PDFAccessibility.ai.

You grant PDFAccessibility.ai the limited right to host, process, analyze, transform, store, display, and transmit your content as needed to provide the service, including accessibility checking, remediation, export, conversion, structured parsing, support, security, and troubleshooting.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process the content through PDFAccessibility.ai and any service providers used to deliver the requested workflow.

PDFAccessibility.ai is designed to help identify and fix accessibility barriers, but no automated tool can guarantee that every document will satisfy every legal, organizational, or validator requirement in every context.

Reports, scores, issue lists, remediation results, generated accessible text, and exported files should be reviewed by the user, especially for high-risk, regulated, legal, government, medical, financial, or public-sector documents.

You are responsible for final review, publication decisions, and compliance obligations that apply to your documents and organization.

You may not use PDFAccessibility.ai to upload unlawful content, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack the service, bypass usage limits, scrape or reverse engineer protected parts of the service, interfere with other users, resell access without permission, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law.

You may not use the API or workspace to process content for which you lack required rights, consent, or authorization.

Developer API and workspace access may be subject to page limits, file size limits, rate limits, storage limits, export limits, retention policies, and plan-specific restrictions.

We may throttle, suspend, or reject requests that exceed limits, create operational risk, appear abusive, or threaten service reliability. API response shapes, SDKs, examples, and endpoints may evolve over time, though we aim to avoid unnecessary breaking changes.

Paid plans provide access to plan-specific features such as accessible PDF exports, batch remediation, manual editor workflows, retained storage, Developer API volume, organization API keys, or team functionality.

Subscription fees, plan limits, renewal dates, taxes, and payment terms are presented at checkout or in the applicable plan materials. Unless stated otherwise, fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in writing.

You may cancel or change a subscription according to the checkout, billing, or account-management flow available for your plan. Cancellation may reduce access at the end of the billing period or immediately, depending on the billing provider and plan configuration.

PDFAccessibility.ai may integrate with third-party services for hosting, authentication, payments, email, analytics, monitoring, AI-assisted processing, storage, security, and document-processing infrastructure.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are not controlled by PDFAccessibility.ai.

PDFAccessibility.ai, including the website, software, workflows, user interface, documentation, trademarks, logos, and service content, is owned by PDFAccessibility.ai or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of the service or permission to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from protected parts of the service except as expressly allowed by law or written agreement.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or product ideas, you grant PDFAccessibility.ai the right to use them without restriction or compensation. Please do not submit confidential information as feedback unless a separate written agreement applies.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that every PDF can be remediated automatically, that every issue can be fixed without source-document changes, or that any output will satisfy every third-party validator, legal requirement, or organizational policy without review.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFAccessibility.ai and its owners, employees, contractors, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or compliance consequences arising from use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to PDFAccessibility.ai for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred U.S. dollars if you used only free services.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or operational risk, fail to pay fees, misuse the service, exceed plan limits in a harmful way, or use the service unlawfully.

You may stop using the service at any time. Certain provisions, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related terms, survive termination.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. When we make material updates, we will update the date on this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
